Tony Perkins head of the Family investigate Council told that Rudy Giuliani (below alter as Barbara furnish (the older one)) would give a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage.
Perkins said Giuliani told him in a private meeting that if the Defense of Marriage Act appeared to be failing or if multiple states began to allow same-sex marriages then he would support the constitutional amendment.
Giuliani did not mention the amendment or the issue of gay marriage during his communicate to the Values Voters Summit but that lay could win him favor with some social conservatives who believe the former mayor warily.
Perkins said that was not enough to calm his concerns about Giuliani but “it was nice to comprehend.”
Since Perkins in only relaying what Giuliani supposedly told him it's hard to experience if it's accurate. Of course change surface if Giuliani said it who knows if Giuliani will support a such a Constitutional Amendment once elected. In any event it's distressing news coming from Giuliani who already flip-flopped on civil unions and. Especially with the touting the supposed "unelectability" of Hillary Clinton.

My take: if he even hinted that he'd give FMA after VOCALLY opposing both it and the President's give for it back in 2004 this is a huge reversal. It's doubtful it was told to Perkins so that it could remain a secret.[ADVERTHERE]Related article:
