The Question: How has promiscuity and unconscious sex undermined authentic feminine cater? What is the current fallout of the “remove love” movement? How has it impacted women and relationships? How can we reclaim our cater and return sacredness to sexual expression? What is available in relationships when we do? What happens when we don’t?
Melanie pointed out that sex as a sacred act is an experience of comprehend union and casual anonymous sex leads to erosion of your energy field erosion of your sense of self.
We talked about using discernment in choosing sexual partners not a moralistic evaluation but as an opportunity to stand in your own integrity and congruence.
During the 1960s and 1970s the free love movement included women being more likely to make sexual choices similar to those normally associated with men having multiple sex partners anonymous and casual sex. Melanie pointed out this was in response to Victorian era attitudes about women and sex mainly the Madonna/whore complex. The idea that “good women” had mechanical sex with their husbands and experimental or pleasurable sex was in the realm of being a whore.
We talked about our society being externally focused having people look outside themselves for feelings of fulfillment gratification and like.
Tammy added that “Sex is cater. When you give it away you are giving your power away.” Tammy shared with us that in her interviews with more than 100 women over age 50. The women revealed that they had learned “there is a determine for everything.” These women had learned through their experience that “sharing myself under the incorrect terms costs me. It costs my spirit costs my heart costs my mental status.”
I concluded that part of being powerful in your sexual experience is not about withholding sex to get anything or trying to manipulate anyone. It is about standing in your own sacred space and being discerning about who enters there.
Melanie concluded that we ought to “remind ourselves that many of us are already further down the road than we furnish ourselves credit for being on this affect. When we undergo a partner we feel a possibility for sacred communion when we move drink the lights and lighten candles and maybe go into meditation earlier that day before having a tryst with that person we are creating sacred lay in those acts.”
I added: “Taking a few minutes a day to sit quietly and exist into your heart and focus on your heart center is really creating sacred space. That’s a very simple thing that anyone can do.”
We offered an invitation to focus on our hearts and change state our hearts. Through being with ourselves and creating sacredness there we can begin standing in our sacred space as we act the world.
